Picnic Engagement Session at Senate House and Uptown Kingston

July 11, 2020

Engagement

Erin & Dave won a giveaway of mine and Willa of Wild Heights Events for a styled engagement session at an AirBnb in the Catskills. Once it came time to start planning for the session, COVID started and we decided to pivot our original plan. Tying the location to where Erin grew up, we decided to create the cutest, styled boho picnic at Senate House. We included Erin and Dave’s love for charcuterie boards and wine dates. Willa brought together the most perfect pieces for our set up, including a custom tea towel with the song lyrics for Erin and Dave’s future wedding song and date.

When Willa and I started setting up, it torrentially down poured. We covered everything up and crossed our fingers that it would pass. Once Erin & Dave showed up the rain magically stopped and made for the perfect summer night. We ended the session strolling through the pastel painted buildings and tree lined streets of historic Uptown Kingston. I love how this session turned out and sometimes pivoting your plans or holding out for the rain makes for even better ideas and images!!
